On one hand early intervention, at the mixed dentition stage, utilizes the growth modification potential and promotes further beneficial skeletal development. On the other hand, some clinicians favor a more conservative approach, preferring to start treatment after puberty to avoid potential risk of relapse associated with early intervention. Both options using various treatment methods have their ardent supporters. So how to choose the optimal approach and technique depending on patient's age?
