Currency and payments
- Currency: Euro (€)
- Payments: Credit/debit cards are widely accepted; contactless payments (Apple/Google Pay) are common.
- ATMs: Easily found in hotels, shops, stations, and throughout the city centre.
Visa & Entry equirements
Most nationalities including EU, UK, North America, Australia, New Zealand, and parts of Asia do not require a visa for short visits to Ireland. Please verify your specific requirements in advance HERE.
Participants can request a visa invitation letter during the registration process. Please note the visa invitation letter does not exempt attendees from complying with all requirements regarding registration and payment for their participation, accommodation and travel.

Accompanying guests
You can buy a ticket for ONE accompanying person.
The ticket for an accompanying person allows access to the Opening Ceremony and Reception on 8 June. Guests are also welcome into the exhibition area during the congress, including lunch.
Attending with children
Children under 16 years of age can access for free without needing a registration.
Please be aware that a creche service is not available.
Children must be always accompanied by an adult and can NOT access the Scientific Sessions.
Pre-congress courses on 7-8 June
The following courses are ticketed and take place before the start of the main congress. You must register for the congress to register for these meetings. You can purchase tickets during the registration process.

Networking programme
Tickets for networking events can be purchased during the registration process.
EOS Membership
You can apply to become a member here. Benefits include free access to the European Journal of Orthodontics; unlimited access to the Resource Library; discounted fees to register for the Annual Congress and the webinars; eligibility for research grants and awards.
Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
The certificates of attendance and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points will be provided to all participants who complete the online evaluation survey, two weeks after the congress.
CPD hours are expected to be a total of 20 CPD hours for the main congress days (9-11 June).
The postgraduate and pre-congress courses qualify for additional CPD hours.
Congress language and translation
The official congress language is English.
There will be no simultaneous translation in any other language.
Simultaneous transcription in any language may be available through the Congress App during the scientific sessions.
Accommodation
A selection of hotel rooms of various types and categories at favourable fixed rates are available for participants attending the EOS 2026 Congress.

Local tips
- Time zone: Irish Summer Time (IST, UTC+1), daylight saving.
- Language: English is predominant. Some signs are in Irish (Gaeilge).
- Electric plugs: Type G (three‑pin rectangular), 230 V/50 Hz.
- Weather in June: Expect mild, changeable conditions—average highs ~18 °C (64 °F), occasional rain. Pack layers and a waterproof jacket.

Congress badges
A name badge is provided when you arrive at the congress venue. You will simply need to scan the QR code sent to you a few days before the congress, and your badge will be printed. Name badges must be always worn and visible during the Congress and at networking events.
